"Myriam rené chávez de Balecedo "Nené", es un personaje muy particular, en principio por el rol que cumplía; hubo muchas disputras familiares que hicieron que entrara y saliera de la dirección muchos años", Contó Laureano sobre la última directora y principal accionista del diario, y agregó que, "los despidos eran muy intempestivos de acuerdo a su estado de ánimo".
